The Concept of Business Information Systems


At this crucial information needs in support of business economics. With the support of the advancement of Information Technology and Telecommunications, the activities of E-Business and E-Commerce is advancing and growing globally.
Therefore we will try to provide an overview of business economics more fully through the perspective of Information Technology and Telecommunications, which is now called the E-Business.

Information systems to be able to operate normally divided into four parts and support each other, namely:

Computer Hardware Technology; including mikrocomputer, server medium and large mainframe systems, as well as input devices, output and storage media are supported.
Computer Software Technology; including operating system software, search the web (browser), maker software, and software for business applications, such as for customer relationship management and supply chain management.
Telecommunications Networks Technology; including telecommunications media, processors and software needed to provide wired and wireless access, as well as support for Internet network and a private network such as Internet-based intranet and extranet.
Data Resource Management Technology; including software for developing database management systems, database access and maintain the organization.

Framework for Business Information Systems

Basic Concepts; basic concept of behavioral, technical, business and managerial skills including the various components and the role of information systems. Examples include basic information system concepts from general systems theory, or concept of competitive advantage that is used to develop applications in information technology bussines competitive advantage.
Information Technology; Key concepts, development and management issues of information technology, which includes hardware, software, networks, management of data and a lot of internet-based technologies.
Business Applications; primary use of information systems for operations, management, and business competitive advantage.
Development Process: How Do the practitioners and business information expert planning, developing and implementing information systems to meet business opportunities.
Management Challenges; Chalenge  to effectively and ethically manage information technology at the end user level, and global companies in the business.
